Women have self-effacing instincts

As women, we are biologically wired to have self-effacing instincts.

As mothers and the more nurturing half of society, we instinctively strive to create harmony, peace, connection, and more love, at all times.

As the weaker sex, we are also much concerned about safety. And so, to create safety for ourselves, we instinctively avoid conflict in any way we can.

We tend to put our needs aside when they don’t feel urgent in order to focus on tasks in front of us or on creating more love in our relationships. We do it by default, so that it becomes our second nature — nay, it IS our nature!

Because these are pure biological instincts, such behavior can happen unconsciously and our needs can go unnoticed for extended periods of time.

And then one day, it becomes too much, and we collapse, explode, have a mental breakdown, a mid-life criss, a serious health issue, an affair or a divorce — because we never asked our partners for our needs and so they couldn’t meet them and now we are resentful and done with it.

Biology and evolution are not always on our side, sadly. And as long as we let our primal instincts run our lives without giving it much thought, we are setting ourselves up for stories of unmet needs, failed relationships, resentment, depression, addictions or disease.

I see these self-effacing patterns together with victim mentality play out in women way too often. It breaks my heart.

I want to see women empowered and expressed about their needs. That’s why I am opening my brand new transformative group program for women, where I will be teaching how these dangerous mechanisms operate and how we can detect and curb them before it’s too late, while also repairing the damage that may have been already done.

I am extremely passionate about this and excited to see more women thrive!
